Lymm Guinea Pig Rescue is run by a husband and wife team, Paul and Rachel Meakin. We run our small rescue from home.
We first contemplated becoming a rescue when we found a small female guinea pig abandoned near to our home. Fortunately
we were able to rescue this guinea pig and, now named Bramble, she lives happily with us and her cage mate, Jack.
Our Aim
We take in unwanted and abandoned guinea pigs only - no other species. The animals are then cared for and adopted out
to their "forever homes".

Our Location
We are based in Lymm but we are prepared to travel further afield to collect unwanted guinea pigs or to visit potential adopters.
Our Pigs
We have two guinea pigs who are our pets. Meet Bramble and Jack! Bramble was found abandoned in woodland near to our
house and we adopted Jack as a companion for Bramble after our mascot pig Butterscotch passed on. Both are aged around a year old. Bramble is spayed.

Bramble (in the cozy) is the boss of the two and Jack copies everything Bramble does. Bramble's favourite food is
Romaine lettuce whereas Jack always goes for the red pepper. Both enjoy carrots as an occasional treat. Bramble and Jack
are allowed to free range around our house and we enjoy watching the two race around the lounge in the evening
times. We call this "zooming time".
